Pacific Exploration Company is set to pioneer natural hydrogen exploration in New Zealand, leveraging the country’s unique geological features and abundant ultramafic rocks. The company aims to identify and develop significant hydrogen resources that contribute to a cleaner, sustainable energy future.

Directors

Shaun Ramsden MCom, BCom, BScTech

Shaun has worked as an earth scientist across a variety of roles, including coal seam gas (Mongolia), native hydrogen and helium (Australia and Asia), oil and gas projects (NW Shelf, Queensland, and the Philippines), carbon capture and storage (Australia), Ni-Cu-PGE (West Musgraves) and gold exploration (New Zealand). As a founding member of five energy and resource startups, Shaun brings entrepreneurial expertise, particularly in natural hydrogen exploration, where he has developed innovative geological models. Before his career in earth sciences, he gained valuable experience in financial trading and bullion investing, showcasing his versatility and broad professional acumen. Shaun holds three degrees from the University of Western Australia, including a Bachelor and a Master of Commerce, as well as a Bachelor of Science and Technology with a major in geology. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG).

Neil Carr EMME, MBA, BEng

Neil has held various roles in the project management, drilling, completion and resource development sectors of both multi-national energy companies and smaller start-up energy companies for exploration and production evaluation spanning a 19-year career. He also is the owner and Managing Director of Pelican Well Services, a bespoke project management, drilling & completions engineering with a specialty in well control problems. Neil holds an engineering degree from the Queensland University of Technology, an MBA from the University of Adelaide and an Executive Master of Management in Energy from the BI Norwegian School of Business.

Krystal Wedge PGCertAppFin, BCom

Krystal Wedge is a corporate executive with 17 years of experience in governance, capital markets, and corporate finance, specialising in public offerings, equity raisings, and debt financing across mineral resources, agriculture and private equity. She has extensive expertise in listed companies, early-stage exploration companies to large-scale production companies. Krystal has contributed to the discovery and development of significant mineral deposits across multiple commodities. She has a Post Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce, both from the the University of New South Wales. She is also a Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.
